Melrose, MA – The Melrose Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has named Melrose Bank as their Official Bank. What does it mean to be the Official Bank? Millie Rich, president of the MSO explains. “Melrose Bank will now be recognized as the Official Bank because of their increased commitment to our organization. They have been a generous supporter of the MSO for years and now by increasing their commitment in the long-term, the Bank not only aids us in bringing the best performances to our audiences, they are also helping to solidify the future of the organization. As the Official Bank of the MSO, Melrose Bank is allowing us to serve more people with the music we love. As a not-for-profit organization we rely on businesses and individuals to keep our organization healthy and thriving. We hope the community will support all of the businesses who support us.”
“We are pleased and honored to have been distinguished as the Official Bank,” stated James Oosterman, vice president, Melrose Bank. “It means a lot to us that they came to us. The MSO consistently delivers great performances and we like being associated with that. Plus we get to see a lot of our friends and neighbors at the performances. It’s a great thing to do and it’s great for our city.”
The MSO is the oldest continuously performing volunteer orchestra in the United States. Their spring “Pops” concert is Saturday, May 6 featuring the works of Leonard Bernstein, Leroy Anderson, and John Williams, along with soprano Mara Bonde.
